Philectrify is revolutionizing the industrial supply of process heat with its zero-emission and fully electric heating technology. Our compact induction heaters reach up to 1.200 °C and are ideal for heating of corrosive process gases (contaminated air, hydrocarbons like methane, etc.) that require realiable heating and oxidizing at minimal energy and maintenance effort.

HISTORY & TIMELINE

2014 - 2019: Inventive Spirit and First Prototypes

Our journey began with a master's thesis at DLR focused on developing an advanced electric heater for compressed air systems in cooperation with RWE and Züblin. Utilizing induction heating for conductive silicon carbide ceramics enables temperatures beyond 800°C and allows operation with corrosive gases, unlocking new possibilities. Early experiments verified a 9 kW prototype, later scaled to 100 kW. ©DLR

2020 - 2024: Technical Breakthrough

A newly developed 3D-printed ceramic honeycomb structure proved to be highly efficient. This led to process heating temperatures of up to 1,200°C and a phenomenal heat transfer rate. This innovation fueled the transition from the DLR research to a pioneering Spin-Off project. ©DLR
